Course Title: Counseling for Self-Worth & Value
Instructor(s): Robert S. McGee, Zakk Gammon, PhD
Counseling for Self-Worth & Value helps the student understand how to develop peace in their own lives and in the lives of those to whom they provide counsel. The course includes two books, The Search for Significance and The Search for Freedom, both by Robert McGee. Counseling for Self-Worth and Value helps the student to understand the role of performing to meet the standards of others, learning how to rely on God rather than man for approval, and how to effectively manage guilt and shame.
The primary goal of this course is to teach individuals how to navigate difficult relationships with themselves and others, while allowing God to work in and through them to determine the worth and value He gives us all. Many students in the Christian Counseling degree program incorporate these two books into their own counseling work with clients.
The required books are included in the price of the course, and will be shipped to the student.
