PSY664: Group Therapy

Group Therapy teaches the student how to effectively provide proper pastoral counseling in a group setting. The course consists of a textbook and workbook. The Group Therapy course provides a method of relating the understanding of modern psychology to that of religious faith expressed in the Bible, specifically when working with a multi-person and/or multi-family group.

The primary goal of this course is to teach students how to provide effective counseling in a group setting.

This course leads to Advanced Certification in Group Therapy if the student completes this course and meets the following requirements:

  • Holds at minimum a Master's degree
  • Holds licensure from the NCCA as a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor or Licensed Clinical Christian Counselor
  • Hold's NCCA Advanced Certification in Integrated Marriage & Family Therapy
