The Bachelor of Arts in Church & Pastoral Leadership degree equips students to be effective pastors, ministry, and church leaders and help the individuals they shepherd under their care.
This program teaches from a Biblically-conservative, person-centered perspective, aiming to help church and ministry leaders gain new understanding in how to help lead impactful ministries.
The Bachelor of Arts in Church & Pastoral Leadership degree is a distance learning program that fully equips the Christian leader in all aspects of Christian life and living.
This degree program is intended for:
– Pastors, church leaders, and ministry leaders who want to be more effective in shepherding others.
– Christians who have been called into the ministry of pastoring.
– Christians who want to gain an effective skill-set to use in an area in which they have previous work and life experience, such as human resources, finance, business, education, etc.
Program Overview
The Bachelor of Arts degree in Church & Pastoral Leadership is completed via distance-learning at the student’s own pace. Students may enroll in the program at any time. The degree program is completed in three phases.
Program Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Professing Christian and active member of a local church body, including a letter of recommendation from the student’s pastor or pastoral oversight
The Bachelor of Arts in Church & Pastoral Leadership degree is completed in three phases:
PHASE I
Phase I consists of ten total courses, including Core Coursework, General Education, and Electives.
CORE COURSEWORK
Students must complete the following core courses.

- CPM117: Spiritual Leadership
- CPM120: Personal Evangelism
- CPM121: Biblical Leadership
- CPM181: Success God's Way
GENERAL EDUCATION
Students must complete the following General Education courses.
- ENG131: College English I

ELECTIVES
Students must complete three (3) elective courses. (Students will choose three of the following).
- CPM112: Your Calling, Passion, & Purpose
- CPM113: Character Development
- CPM188: Sermon Prep
- CPM195: Pastoral Ministry
- CPM197: Basic Theology
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Students must complete the following:
- Submit a headshot or photo.
- Submit a resume detailing ministry & vocational experience.
- Submit three reference forms from individuals who can speak to the student’s character and Christian witness.
- Submit a letter of recommendation from the student’s pastor and/or pastoral leadership within the student’s local church, on church letterhead.
PHASE II

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Students must complete the following:
- Complete a 500-question open-book Bible equivalency exam. This takes the place of 30 credit hours, and can be completed as quickly as 2 to 3 weeks.
Phase III
